Stunning four piece EP by swedish Indie-Popster Popundret. Founded in 1991 and deeply influenced by british Guitar-Pop acts of the late 80s, they released three records till 1996 full of jangly, jangly and very Smiths-like songs. Highly recommended!

The Rainyard - Hell Bent Suicidal Over You, Baby EP 7"

Another fantastic band hailed from Perth / Australia. The Rainyard were formed in 1989 and released only two records before they split in 1993. The band shared members with The Palisades and The Summer Suns. Three very, very jangly songs with australian flavour.

The Cudgels were an Indie-Pop band from Walsall / UK. They released a couple of 7" and flexis on several labels and spawned after the split two other great, timeless bands: The Proctors and Oporto. This compilation tape from the year 1990 contains 11 raw, jangly and gripping songs.

The Incredible Blondes - Where Do I Stand? 7"

Beautiful, beautiful first and only ever released 7" by this Glasgow Indie-Pop band. The Incredible Blondes were formed in the mid 80s, made a BBC Radio 1 show and split the same year. Two fantastic songs full of warmth and beautiful voices. Highly recommended!

Again one of those mysterious Indie-Pop bands that appeared as fast as they vanished. For sure I can say that The What Gives were from the U.S. and made only two 7" on The Bus Stop Label. Sadly no further informations. Two fine jangly songs with great male harmonies. Just check it out!

The Stolen Picassos - Everything Will Turn 12"

The Stolen Picassos were a gripping Indie-Pop band from Perth / Australia. This four piece 12" was their only ever made release. Honestly, I couldn´t really chum up with the title track that doesn´t really fit after my modest opinion, but nevertheless this EP is a must-have ( though I´ve already posted three songs on two of my blog compilations )!

Whenever you think, you already know everything, you will be surprised in a beautiful way. So it was with me after I got these demos tracks by one of my alltime favourites. Perhaps these songs are known to some of you ( a few years ago the file was probably posted on Indie MP3 ). Anyway, it´s more than worth to post it again and again. Three songs are known ( Wallflower, If I Could See and an early version of Hal´s I Wish I´d Never Said That ), the other five tracks come unfortunately without title or year. Any ideas? Marvellous Brighter!!!

Home And Abroad - Waiting For The Backlash Cassette

Home And Abroad were formed in 1986 in Reading / Oxford. They released their first 7" on Zebra Records, made a stunning split with marvellous The Rileys and moved to Elefant Records. This compilation tape combines 13 fantastic tracks including the first two 7" with b-sides. ( A note for all purists: some sources speak of a release of this tape on an unknown label, but I´m not able to seek out any further informations about. Any ideas? Also I´m not sure if this was the original sleeve which a friend sent me. )

Formed back in 1991 in Berlin, The Groovy Cellar soon became an ineradicable term within the German Indie-Pop-Mod-Scene by releasing their debut on Marsh-Marigold Records. Influenced by such substantial bands as Television Personalities or Teenage Filmstars, this 7" from the year 1995 combines two powerful, pushing songs in this very tradition. Highly recommended!
